    Evening @chucky1and @steve69
The only thing keeping me sane right now is that I am not the only one in this situation 🤔 Sorry that you both have to share it with me.
I too wait for the post (crazy I know) but each day I think "today I will hear something " but nope.
I hope you are both keeping as well as possible and fingers crossed we all have some good news soon x

Hi @Jram46 my time lime is almost identical to yours and I still haven't heard anything. I note in a previous post they also contacted your GP as they did with mine also. This timeframe is getting ridiculous now isn't it? Hope you are holding up and keeping well. Hi #Chucky1 👋

    Hi
Certainly is ridiculous it’s difficult when it’s the first thing that crosses your mind when you wake up.
I go through different states of mind from gut wrenching worry to telling myself I don’t care about the outcome.
But here we are we’re at the mercy of DWP/BA through no fault of our own.
Stay strong and I wish you all the best

@Jram46 I totally understand those emotions. I wake up feeling sick with anxiety that today is the day I am going to hear something. Then when it isn't a sense of deep disappointment and frustration. What frustrates me the most is that I have still got to wait for the assessment and then wait for the decision which could be a further 12 weeks.
As we were one of the chosen few contacted in June and it's taking this long how are they going to cope when they start up reassessments properly next year?
Chucky1 and I are both in the North West are you too? Just trying to see of there is a correlation? Stay warm and safe. I will let you know if I hear anything.

Hi, @chucky1 I suppose that the thought it has been sent back to the DWP has been lurking in the back of my mind for the last week or so. But I keep telling myself not to get my hopes up.
It has now taken a ridiculously long time. I keep thinking "should I ring and find out?" Then I chicken out and tell myself it will 'come when it comes ' What do you think we should do? I don't know how you and your husband are coping but I am sending you loads of hugs xxx

My husband is rather anxious about it now but like you he won't ring up I just think surely they can't be that behind let's hope the forms have gone back

Yes ringing feels like "poking the bear" and no one wants to do that! The problem is we have no idea of any time lines 😕  and at the moment there feels as if there is no end to the anxiety! They really have no idea about how it feels to be on tenterhooks every day waiting for the post. I know we are still receiving it until they say otherwise but being "in the dark and not knowing whether the rug is about to be pulled" is not a pleasant experience. Stay strong for him and as always I will keep you updated. Xx

Hi @ Chucky1 well I bit the bullet today and rang the assessment centre. The outcome is I have a phone assessment on the 18th of December xxx

    Hi
@perdita at least now you know something is moving forward, I wish you all the best for your call.
I’ve still heard nothing! it’s 20 weeks for me,  will they send a letter if they’re going to call? Or do they just ring on the off chance?
Is it video call or just over the telephone?

Did they offer that date or did they say that's when it is

Hi @chucky1 they just said that they were at the point of sending out an appointment and was I available on the 18th? Yes, they said I would receive a letter in the next couple of days.
I don't know if I speeded up the process slightly by ringing but ...
Feeling kinda sick at the moment, I knew I was always going to get an assessment but as the weeks went by I sort of hoped I wouldn't. But oh well, let me know when you hear anything and I hope that your husband doesn't need one xxxx

I'm so sorry they're dragging this out for so long folks, it's really not fair on anyone.
My fingers are STILL crossed for you all though. :)
