    We always had hot water bottles when we were kids,it was the only way to keep warm at night.No central heating,no double glazing,there used to be ice on the inside of my bedroom window.

    @teigr I don't know about you all but we used to have those awful metal beds with the springs attached and no quilts

    Mr Teigr's mum has one of those @Sandy_123,it's over sixty years' old and still has the original mattress under the one she bought in 2019.

    I think my parents had one @Sandy_123,I know my aunt(who I practically lived with)had one in the back bedroom because I slept in it.

    I was thinking of you with you having the problem that causes your feet to be really cold they’d be great for you. They look funny but if they’d help I wouldn’t care how it looks.
