The DWP have been trying to get inpatients to attend interviews at their office on threat that their benefits would be stopped.

    Thanks for sharing @Ralph, it's awful that has happened. And it's sad that sometimes it takes this pressure from the press for things like this to be brought to light and addressed. Not nice at all!

    It’s hard to know if this was ‘official’ office policy or some local agents getting a bit over zealous. Of course the government will deny all responsibility for this but who knows.

    More unlawful bullying of unwell people by the dwp.

    If you read the article and the DWP responses they're horrendous. They still insist that it might be appropriate for inpatients to see them, why do we need to spell out that if someone is ill enough to be in hospital that they are obviously unfit to prepare for work? How low do they want the bar to be ffs?!
