Hi, I’m wondering if I’m unemployed. Would I be able to study, as an adult and claim benefits?
I don’t know what the rules are but I eventually want to make something of my life. But at 38, it’s going to be tough.

Yes you can. However, if there’s a maintenance loan available to you then it will affect means tested benefits such as Universal Credit. Even if you decide not to take that loan.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Hi poppy,
Can you be a student on normal UC (with commitments), LCW and LCWRA?
also, I believe you can also claim UC, as a student, if you have PIP?
is this correct? -
When you've been found to have LCWRA you have no commitments.bluefox said:
