My cheese plane for Mother's Day arrived today. I'm scared to open it to check it's OK but I'm sure it is ... it's  in a lovely sealed box and looks really posh.

An actual plane made of cheers @66Mustang ?!  I need one asap!

I'm dead excited for your new laptop though, very fancy!

Ha ha @Albus_Scope  :D it actually works vaguely like a woodworking plane but you use it on cheese to cut really thin slices ...

I quite like the sound of a plane made from cheese though :open_mouth:

Ahhh, gotcha @66Mustang, that makes a lot more sense, nice!

Though I want a Harrier jump jet made out of cheddar now.

I bought a printer stand and I knew it would be snug, but the measurements were off by just over a cm too. So, it's now the stand for my computer tower :D

At least you found a use for it @Hannah_Scope!! :)

@woodbine best of luck getting it done

Sounds like you are doing the finishing touches to your new home now Poppy :)

Yes @66Mustang :) It would have just had more books stacked on top of it otherwise :D

I bought some wire for my new computer set up last night. Have a 2m hdmi cable when a 0.3m is big enough!

@Hannah_Scope I was going to suggest something but then it occurred to me that you may consider it heresy :open_mouth:

Using books as a computer stand!!!

@66Mustang Although a great idea, I worry the heat from the computer tower could damage the books! I do sometimes think about a book chair :D

I just ordered a pair of tiny little plushy octopuses / octopi (not sure what the plural is)

    They are really cute

@Albus_Scope I'd be excited about a new duvet as well!!!

Here's a pic from the shop of the octopus, it's from the Octopus energy company, we built up some points for saving energy and spent them on these

@Ada I hope you enjoy going these ones and hopefully no one vandalises them this time, home grown stuff always tastes nicer

I missed out on the raffle to buy a £8 ticket for the £1,000 bottle of cognac, I couldn't justify throwing away £8

But my Mum told me if any more come up she will go halves with me, that made it a lot easier to justify!!!

Another one came up, £6 a ticket to win 6 bottles of XO cognac which are about £150 each

    Fingers crossed 🤞

@JessieJ Exciting stuff, I don't know how you manage to remember everyone :D

When I see the amount of cards my Mum buys, sometimes I am sort of glad that I don't know lots of people :D

I keep them all in a draft email, @66Mustang, so I can neatly add & take away. The ancient birthday book was long ago filled & then disintegrated, nice to look back through for the memories though.

Yep, better to be friendless, as they do mount up. ;)
