Housing benefit

Hi,  I am on claiming housing element of the UC and on standards of each component of PIP.
Can I claim housing benefit and council tax support from the Council and cancel the housing element?

    The only exception for working age people is if you're either living in supported or temporary housing. Otherwise as you advised, it no longer exists for new claims. See link. https://england.shelter.org.uk/housing_advice/benefits/housing_benefit_in_refuges_hostels

    In some cases housing element is more generous than housing benefit was.
