Call from +448000720161
Hi I received a call from the above number & he said he was calling from the DWP, a few months ago I submitted a pip form for the 3rd time for Mixed anxiety Depressive Disorder & having a cardiovascular disease & heart surgery, I was sent a letter to say I would have a phone assessment on the 14th may 2024 I really wasn’t up to the call that morning & didn’t answer & 2 days later I got a call from that number but he only asked me to confirm my name address national insurance number & gp details, & then hung up & it’s left me over the edge anxious & I won’t phone them back, has anybody had anything like this before

also after the call I got a text saying I will shortly receive a how your disability affects you form which I have already completed & got a text to say they had received it with a date for assessment several weeks ago & also after they text to say they had my form I got a phone call from my gp surgery asking me to attend asap the same day as they was concerned about my mental health I did attend the surgery where I was met with a mental health practitioner who asked several questions & typed away & shortly after leaving the surgery I got a text saying I may need to attend a assessment.

I'm afraid I can only guess why you received that text. Do you have someone that can ring PIP on your behalf? You may need to go through security first and then pass the phone onto them.

yes I could ask my mother to do it tomorrow it’s just left me overwhelmed & I’m googling away trying to find out why they would only ask me them questions & have my gp phone me to go in
Thanks for replying

sorry to keep replying to my post I just keep remembering things, the gp surgery phoned me to go in as dwp had been in touch with them saying they was concerned

The assessor may have contacted them as part of safe guarding, which has been known to happen. That's nothing worry about and I would say that's a good thing they did that.

I will have to get my mother to phone them & try to find out if the call was legit just can’t understand why I would be asked security questions & nothing else

hi
I phoned pip helpline & they said a copy of my assessment report has been sent out the only problem is that I didn’t answer the phone to do the assessment any ideas

If the report had been returned to DWP then you will have had a paper based assessment.

the case manager has just phoned me back to ask the reason for not answering the phone to assessor & asked a few questions & said I will receive a new date for the assessment, so not sure why the pip advisor told me a report has been sent out0 -
