They keep talking about people not working and claiming PIP, but there's a lot of people (not sure on the %s) who receive PIP and work - what's happening there? If anything?
0 -
Try and email Kier Starmer and put what it's like and the fear of pip being taken away , forced to work .
I've done it, if enough people do they might listen.

I haveso dyslexic what email did you send too ? I probably sent wrong place

I'm the same, scared . I used to work part-time as a cleaner until last year. As well as the chemicals I used has given me copd. I have painful joints, can't hardly walk .got worse since covid. Having Autism as well.
My mental health has got worse since the torys announced this. Got enough worries about health without this. The media not helping harping on about people not working

Hi elizarose I think it's so hard for the family's too ,I'm in my 60s now and still care for my son who is 30 and has paranoid schizophrenia.
Iv done it all my life he was diagnosed at 15 ,we all love him but he as caused a lot of anxiety and chaos in our lives . I am his Appointee so I feel as though there's a lot of responsibility on me to care for him and make sure he receives his pip and ESA . I don't think rishi sunak has any idea what family members and care givers have to go through to care for there loved ones especially with someone with paranoid scitsophrenia. My son can be verbally aggressive and very unpredictable at times , and sometimes this is scary for all of us , but I and my family still care and love him has we know he can't help it has it's part of his condition. pip helps a lot as he can't go on publick transport as he sometimes becomes agitated with noise of other people so the extra money is used for taxis to his appointments . If I cook him a meal he sometimes thinks it's contaminated,so he puts it all in the bin ,also hel only were certain fabrics of clothing so he's needs the extra money to buy these
He likes to make model airplanes and this keeps him calm and stable but it is an expensive hobby .
Rishi sunak and the conservatives have no idea of real life situations
They have no idea how hard it is for the family's and caregivers who put all there time in looking after there mentality I'll lived ones

Labour manifesto p43 mentions work , disabled people briefly. It may be in other pages but it's over 100 pages so I skimmed through first . So if anyone can see anything else.
0 -
ID like to know pls I cant watch anxiety high why only mentioning briefly that's not good

Just said that Labour will work with local areas to create plans in supporting more disabled people and those with health conditions into work,
Tackle the back log of access to work, and give disabled people to start working without the fear of a immediate benefit reassessment if it doesn't work out, WCA needs to be reformed, or replaced alongside proper plans to support disabled people into work.
2 -
I thought the WCA comes in 2025 for new claimants thier changing questions for LCW and LWCRA

The question is what if you can't work does one cap fit all
1 -
I have no idea, that's all what I could see, it 136 pages.
Green party more favourable to.disabled but the small parties don't get anywhere unfortunately due to our voting system. I suppose we find out more whoever comes into power. You could email Kier Starmer and might find out sometime or put your fears forward

That’s under the Tories plans. All it said in the manifesto is what summerlove has stated.
It didn’t mention anything specific about disability benefits.1 -
Sick of it all labour no different and not mentioning is even worse the turmoil fir months off tories now labour secret squirrel how much more thier pushing me and loads of others to far
0 -
I’m really unsure how to feel about the Labour manifesto. It’s incredibly vague and has no mention of PIP (unless I have missed that part)
My fears haven’t seemed to have eased

It's obvious thier go with tories plan why leaving out because it will be uproar sick of us getting treated like noting who's next best party to vote for obviously not tories reform I'm raging
1 -
the issue is the disabled are never offerebd a seat at the table. It’s always able bodied/minded people making decisions on our behalf without consulting us first. It’s so mentally taxing and I’m just more confused than reassured at this point.
2 -
I'm raging absolutely raging months of tories beating us down Now the only hope acting like snakes thier going to do exactly the same as tories work well scheme force us all to go to training in a back street office learning scwat most of us unable to go be sanctions this was the last bit of hope and shock horror we are none the wiser that speaks volumes
1 -
all we can hope for is they continue having a minister for the disabled and they consult with charities to see the impact their policies will have on us.
1 -
So terrible they way we are treated unacceptable yes I hope trying to stay positive is hard sorry I know your going through it too
