You know your child best

My SEN child had not been his usual self and I took him to the doctor's they said it's either a chest infection or UTI but it's hard to tell, let's give you some antibiotics just in case....5 days later he completely stopped drinking and the doctor's weren't really interested I was told they'd phone by reception I waited and heard nothing Monday and then Tuesday I was persistent and just kept phoning the doctor saw him 6pm Tuesday night. He said he was very dehydrated and he has tonsilitus to but here's some other antibiotics. If no better in 12 hours he might end up in hospital…so wednesday he was admitted to hospital. When we got here we were told oh your doctor should have flagged it with peaditrics as a warning but he hadn't so had to go all through a&e 2 hour wait etc to be put on the sepsis path way and told we will be in at least 2 nights on IV fluids and Antibiotics. It's now Friday and we still here

Anyone else got experiences like this?
