Pension age and PIP

I've read a number of times that once you get to pension age the reviews are "soft touch?" and the awards are for a longer period. Is this true and if so what does it entail?

If your conditions are not expected to change then yes you could receive a 10 year award with a light touch review.

Soft touch review is a shorter form. What it entails, I have no idea because we haven’t had any members posting with any feedback.

Thank you Poppy. Hopefully mine will be for 10 years. oh how lovely that would be to finally relax about assessments as now I wont be having ESA ones anymore either.

Hopefully someone who is pension age will see this and reply as to what it entails.

I don't think anyone can say what things will be like in 10 years' time.

It's not just those of state pension age, other people can be awarded for 10 years with a light touch review. I see you're waiting for a review decision, are you state pension age now?

Yes Poppy started to received my pension in March.. so one worry of ESA assessments gone..

Would be so lovely if I got a 10 year award. imagine that, relaxing and not having to worry about assessments for a few years.
