Oh I have to tell yous I just got a pair off croc flip flops delivered as I wear flip flops on holiday all the time, so decided to treat myself to a half decent pair. They are like walking on clouds I can’t believe it. The things that get me excited now 😂 I got them from Marks.

never knew that, but I think my tummy may disagree with you on that one 😂

Oh no Sandy I thought that would’ve cleared by now yes definite need to get in touch with the doctor, thsts a shame you’ve had a time off it lately.

It's supposed to strengthen your immune system too.🙂

Good morning all, hope you're doing okay today. Sorry to everyone who was watching the football last night!
Oooh, are we talking ginger? One of my favourite cakes to bake is a stem ginger cake. Take the syrup and turn it into a ginger icing too.
@Amberpearl You said you had no warning at all? I would check if it was contract end or something else. If it was something else there's some things that can be done if you pay via direct debit. If it was all in the contract though I am afraid there isn't much except asking. Me and my partner were caught out by our virgin media bill suddenly going up by £35 one month! We'd lost track of when the contract rolled over.
@rubin16 Hope your therapy goes well!
Morning to all others as well of course @Lou67 glad to hear you're a bit better today, @Nicebrit hope the granddaughter feels better soon 🤧 If I haven't tagged you don't worry, I have read your post and wish you the warmest and happiest thoughts 🤗
@66Mustang That's a pretty amazing weight loss! I've actually stopped weighing myself with stone funnily enough, the hospital only ever uses kg and I've just become so used to it I only use kg now.

If you can't wear flip flops I think all the kids are into "sliders" at the moment which are like flipflops but without a thing in the middle that goes between your toes
People are going crazy for them, I saw some for over £500, for a plastic sole and a strip of fabric to put your foot under 😳
They aren't all £500 though and maybe a good idea, if you can't wear flip flops

@Jimm_Scope it's really weird, I'm of the generation that only did metric at school so I don't know why I use stone!!! When I first started weighing myself I didn't know how many pounds were in a stone 😆

@66Mustang
Your putting me to shame I have to try harder lol omg some prices for things are crazy you can get really decent sliders for £30 -£50 for teenagers as they like a brand name sorry not all teenagers do but my grandson’s do but £500 🤯@Jimm_Scope
I’m feeling much better today thanks I hope your doing well.0 -
My friend's husband drinks a ginger shot every day,I was going to try them but he says they taste disgusting.

Yeah I have slip ons but I wouldn't spend that on them.

Five hundred quid @66Mustang ?
I've had holidays that cost less than that.
1 -
Yeah the £500 was an extreme example 😂 I know what you mean about the brands! I'm not going to lie, I like nice things and I'm guilty of spending excessive amounts on quality stuff, but I don't see the appeal of a brand name?? Like I'd happily spend lots on a brand no one's heard of if it was better quality than a well known brand

I was the same @66Mustang, I used stone and pounds only until my mid 20s, despite being taught only metric. I think it's because our parents were used to using them when they weighed us as kids? Same as with our height. I still use feet and inches for height (I have no reason to keep track of that at least 😋)

That's a fair explanation I guess!!
Interestingly (or more likely, not), I use imperial for distance as well, so if I have to judge a distance I imagine it as a golf shot, and I always think in yards 😆

Just to add a bit more tragic nerdiness, what I mean is like if something is a few hundred yards away, I imagine things like "oh that's a 3 wood" and if something's a bit closer it would be like a "7 iron" 🙄
