Conflicting information about LCWRA back payments
Hi again everyone. I was informed by someone over on reddit in the DWP section that you should have received a journal message telling you about the outcome of your tribunal (I didn't), but I had the letter through the post instead, and also the person said to me that you would receive a message in your journal specifying a date that you would receive your back payment (which I also don't have).
Apart from the tribunal letter I had in the post that showed the outcome of my tribunal as a success for LCWRA, it's been complete radio silence on my journal. I had a message informing me of my cancelled monthly UC appointment (I was on work and health at the time), a week after my tribunal and that's it. I've tried querying about my backpay and I've left several journal messages asking them to confirm if I will be receiving any back payment and potentially when I could expect it. I was awarded on the 28th June at tribunal. I'm just wondering if there's anything I can do in the meantime to query the matter. Someone said you can contact your caseworker but told me to use my journal which I have been doing and not receiving any responses at all

You don't get any LwCRA payments until after 3rd payment or 12 weeks. They don't back pay this period. I'm assuming you are well over. I would call them.
I Actually had to call and ask them to do my payment last month as my approved hadn't done it the day before due.
It's not great at all.

I should be owed from January 2023 as that is the month after the 3 full assessment periods after my full fit note submission which was October 2022. I will give them a call in the next couple of days because I can't get a hold of them whatsoever using my journal. Nobody is replying. I was waiting for my tribunal from January 23' until 28th June 2024, so well over a year. I should be owed a significant sum of money.
When you called them, did you call your local job centre or was there another number that you used? Honestly at this rate I might just turn up there one day to enquire about it

Your first payment will be 25th Feb 2023, as I advised on your other thread here.
It can take anything up to 8 weeks after a Tribunal win to pay what is owed and to put your award into payment and you're still within that timescale.
You will not receive any letters on your journal until the award has been put into payment.
It's pointless ringing the helpline because all they will do is put a message onto your journal, which you can do yourself.
