PIP change of circumstances

Good evening,
I have been reading a lot of comments on this site about PIP and people's experiences. I just wanted to share my timeline as I noticed most people post up until they receive PIP then just disappear!
I have been in receipt of standard daily living allowance for the past 7 years, unfortunately my health deteriorated last year and I reported a change of circumstances on March 27 2023, on 8th May I was told I would need an assessment and an appointment was sent for a telephone assessment on 27th June. I had a further telephone call from the DWP decision maker who had a couple of questions on 13th July and a text message on 14th July to say they had made a decision and I would receive my letter in 2 weeks.
Just a heads up that a new condition or change in circumstances has to have been ongoing for 3 months before you report a change.
Good to luck to all those still awaiting a decision ☘️

Can you withdraw requests for change of circumstances before DWP made the decision ?

Not if you've already had the assessment.
