in Start here and say hello!

Hi, we've had my mother-in-Law's power chair for 2 weeks now - we use it every day. But the pavements are so poor (tree roots in particular) that she's almost frightened by the chair falling over (she's 94, has had Alzheimer's for about 12 years).

Tomorrow we'll try a bus journey - see how it goes with the bus ramp etc.

Onwards and Upwards !!

    Hi @David5, welcome from me too 😊

    I can understand how it must be worrying for her going over bumpy surfaces. It can be a real obstacle course getting around on wheels sometimes!

    Hope your mum gets on okay with her next trip out. Keep us posted with how she gets on!

    Hi @David5 it can be a nightmare mate with obstacles on the pavements. One big gripe is parked cars on the paths, also uneven slabs and as you say tree roots. Hopefully you get the bus ok as they have to put ramps down for access.
