Chronic pain is said to be that which lasts for 3 months or longer.

Have you considered aqua exercises?
I wouldn't suggest swimming, but standing in the pool and seeing what movements you can manage.
Even if it's just a few minutes at first, you can build it up over time.

We've got no swimming pools open round here!
And I am unable to stand anyway
I am wheelchair dependant
But apart from that yes a good idea

If you live in your own home and have enough money, it makes sense to install a bathtub with different depth levels.

Where exactly and for what purpose?

The goal is obvious - being in water relieves, albeit for a short time, reduces the load on the joints and spine. This has been known since the time of Archimedes. Where exactly and how to do this in the house, decide with the architect or on your own.

Believe it or not
Morphine is not working for me
I am in more pain when taking morphine than previously when taking codeine or even naproxen (which is a anti inflammatory rather than a painkiller)
So what do I do next?
Ask my GP to return me to codeine or naproxen for how long?

Ask my GP to return me to codeine or naproxen for how long?
Until Death, if it's really best for you.

But I dont really want to die
Please explain exactly what you meant by that comment... I am in a lot of pain

That's right. For example, I was prescribed some medications for life, that is, until my death, which will inevitably occur, like all other people.
