i think all flowers are cracking and i have to say we have never ever cut a flower to put in a vase in the house we like them in the garden dawnie likes her alstroemeria we keep them in 60cm tubs and just pluck them when they have gone over get at least 3 crops a year

I'm with Dawnie if she doesn't like yellow flowers I must admit. My son's wife really likes dahlias, but do you pronounce them day- li-ahs, or dar- li-ahs?

Yes, she's a southerner, tho now lives a few houses away from me with my son 'up north!' They've just taken up gardening a few years ago, much to my surprise & pleasure, tho I've spent quite a few hours 'helping!' ๐

I am the opposite of green fingered, although I do try.
I live in flats, so only a communal garden, which I have planted a few herbs in, not that they do that well with all the weeds and the strimming every 2 weeks!
These mushrooms have just popped up though, I've looked them up and apparently they are edible, not sure I will try them though.

Ok so it turns out I shouldnโt be allowed on Amazon when browsing plants lol
I only went on to purchase a Euonymus fortunei 'Harlequin and ended up buying quite a bit more lol
Needless to say the ยฃ500 prize money for winning Happy Gardens has been well spent on plants and other gardening related things lol

My plan is to win again next year :D
My main problem is thereโs just too many nice plants in the world and as soon as I get them I find more I want lol
Thankfully my garden is a good size so lots of space for more plants

Oh, I'm always so suspicious of mushrooms. Just too many that look like edible ones but are actually toxic ๐
