HI again I was due my first UC statement yesterday 5th October but I have received nothing, all my commitments etc are upto date.

Do you think I should be worrying over this and is anyone else having the same issue.

Any thoughts or advise would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.

In the past I've had the odd statement added on 27th/28th, when it's due on 26th.

As it's your first statement, are you looking in the right place?

It can take longer than the statement for such things to be calculated. If you want reassurance you could try contacting your local UC office by leaving a note on your journal, or calling up the contact number they've given you

I've call uc this morning and the hold up is they are waiting for my carers allowance to be verified, don't know

why though as I've been getting carers for a number off years.

They said my statement might be up later today or tomorrow.

Although you've been claiming carers for years, they still need to confirm you're claiming it because it's deducted in full from any UC entitlement. It's the same any other other elements you maybe entitled to, they need to confirm you're entitled to them first.

I can see why they haven't yet calculated your statement because if they did then it wouldn't be correct. Very often they calculate your first statement when they haven't confirmed all your details and then that statement is incorrect. This means once everything is confirmed then need to recalculate it.

Sorry for the delay but my uc did go into my bank on the 9th and so far I'm better off.

Hi @anth22 that's great news! Bet it's a big relief after the worry.
