Hey lovely people.
hope you all slept well and are ok.
I'm going to Costa coffee at 7am to meet a friend I've not seen much for ages, he's been brilliant to me over the years, a true loyal supportive help, he's the only offline friend I have.
he wants to get me out as I rarely go anywhere, he knows I don't do crowds and am paranoid about colds, flu and covid because I nearly died with covid in 2022.
and he's arranged a date for me with his brothers friend later, I'm not sure how I feel about that or if I appreciate it as a kind thought or if I'm annoyed about it. I've been on my own since 2010 and been reasonably content, apparently we share a lot of interests so who knows, knowing me I'll panic and cancel anyway lol

I just told him to cancel it and politely asked him not to make arrangements behind my back as it dustreses both me and my routine and If I wanted a date I'd choose an existing friend, however With notice happy to meet at a later time on friendship grounds.

I totally understand it's when your ready all that side of life does seen overwhelming but one day could wake up and say yh I go for it nice that you have a good friend routine is very important even though I have all day to do what I want I still feel if I went out did something different it would disturb my day x

I am old fashioned I like to build a friendship and make a connection not just meet someone randomly who would likely expect more than I can give. To start with I doubt Rob said how quiet, shy and useless at conversations I am

I'm all those things to when first meeting someone like you said over time no pressure it does become easier when I was 44 I decided to join a dating site never done anything like that before god I was shocked men was so rude said awful things I got banned I was calling them every name under the sun I was shocked 😲 sometimes we Don't see what our friends see in us Rob obviously knows your a good person and sees you your personality and you as a person it's us that don't when your ready quickly to say the changes to wca are for new claimants which is bad the only way we would be reassessed is if we moved home

I used to use dating sites, never again. I'm not against meeting someone online just not through those sites
