The SAR report received is missing a particular date / event that I am after - 34 years ago !

It looks as if I will have to try an old Dr surgery

Do they keep records as hospitals are supposed to - or do they forward them to my new surgery ?

Is my wife entitled to view a deceased ancestors medical records - via a SAR ?

She is trying to see whether cancer is genetic in her family and is wondering whether 2 of her Aunts (who died, young, 50 years ago +) died from that disease. "Reason for death" is not mentioned in their Ancestry Records !

It looks like you're only able to gain access to the deceased health records if you are either a personal representative or somebody who has a claim from the death so I'm unsure if you would be able to access this @SheffieldMan1976. Here is more information on the rights of the deceased.

Your wife could order death certificates for both relatives to see what is listed as cause of death.

    https://www.gov.uk/order-copy-birth-death-marriage-certificate

This is likely as much information as she's able to access.

Any questions about a genetic component to her specific cancer should be asked of her Doctors.

DWP do not hold medical records !

SARs are used to obtain medical records from NHS not DWP

    I am fully aware that.

I already obtained my medical records.

I want the information held on file about me from the DWP
