Hi everyone
I'm.not sure what group I'm in. As I filled out a UC50 form. I had a phone call last month from UC. But have another phone call on the 9th Dec. Apparently I'm getting phone calls each.month 2 months. They r saying I don't have to look for work. Yet however trying to put me on a online course although I'm on the sick and receiving pip. Can anyone tell me what is going on here. As far as I know uc never checked in on me like this b4 and left me alone when i filled out the UC50 they never checked in on me like this b4.. I'm confused what is going on???

You will get a letter, about the time that you think they have forgotten all about you.
You will need that letter to show that you get the UC.
It can be reproduced from the Journal, so keep your eye on the Journal, as we are coming up to the time when Royal Mail goes to hell in a handcart anyway

You will be notified about the result of WCA electronically via your Journal only, nothing will come in the post.
Until the results are confirmed you will be treated as "fit for work" although I appreciate UC have turned off as much as they are able to at the moment.
If you get LCWRA these calls and appointments will all stop.

They have not told what I'm in haven't written to me. I should be in LWRCA. This is ridiculous. CAB helped me with the UC50 and spoke to them. But wasn't clear what group I'm in?? How do i approach this phone call on the 9th Dec. I'm.not happy. When I'm sick etc receiving pip I know it's a different category. How do I approach them to make them see I can't work??

I'm on enhanced pip until 2027. This could affect my PIP if I start doing online courses. When I'm homeless no access to computer etc. My gp has disabled me also cause they moved me from one room to another emgency accommodation. I'm at a loss with all this it's a cheek. When I'm homeless for the last 4 years and sick. Any suggestions

You mentioned filling in a UC50.
Have you actually had a medical assessment yet?
On your next call, tell them you are very unwell and going through the WCA process.

No Kimmy87,
But uc phoned me and said that I don't need to look for work but haven't confirmed what group I'm in. Cause he was one minute saying go on a course whilst sick at home the next he was saying I need to get support?? Then he said to get a gp I can't cause they maybe shortlisting me for a permanent place after 4 years homeless. What concerns me I'm on the pip and if I'm in this group this could mess up my PIP.. may have to pay it bk if I do an online which I can't anyhow cause I haven't got a computer and struggle to get out the door. Cause of my conditions

So you are still going through the WCA process for UC.
After the UC50 most people have a medical assessment (either in person or by telephone) so you should expect to have one.
Occasionally if they feel they have enough information it will be a paper based assessment, where you wouldn't have a face to face or phone call. That is rare though.
After the assessment, the outcome will be sent by electronic letter via your Journal.
Until then, as advised UC have to treat you as seeking work.
PIP is entirely separate from the UC system.

A UC50 is the form DWP send when you are selected for a Work Capability Assessment. It's identical to the ESA50 from used with legacy benefits.

Because he is migrating from ESA, your husband will have LCWRA added to the claim without going through a new WCA.
When you husband is next due for re-assessment he will be sent a UC50. The form is identical to the ESA50 he will have filled out when claiming ESA.
