PIP REVIEW TIMESCALE
Hi, can anyone who has previously posted in their PIP review forms, tell me how long they waited to get some news after they had received confirmation the forms had been received? Thank you.

I can take up to about 2 weeks, sometimes longer. When I posted mine last year it took about 12 days to receive the text after posting the form.

So I know they’ve received it as I got the text to say they had. I just didn’t know how long I should expect to wait after that point.

I posted mine at the beginning of March and am still waiting

@Hopeless no way! Is this the first review you’ve done?

No, I’ve had 2 reviews before - that didn’t take nearly as long 🤷🏻♀️ They send me texts every so often saying they still have my form and will be getting round to it asap. I understand the backlogs are huge. They’re still paying me though

@Hopeless ok, thank you for all the information. It’s causing me a lot of worry x

I completely understand your worry. First was the worry knowing the forms were on their way, then the stress of getting them filled in and sent back on time and then…..nothing. I’ve spent months worrying about it all but it’s out of our hands

@Hopeless I wish the best for you. X

I edited this because I misread the question, there are long waits for reviews though, I sent mine back in September and they've not even let me know that they have the form yet, I only know that they do because my son called to check.
I can't recall how often they updated me when I had my last review in 2019.

Sent my forms back and eventually heard saying they were extending it for one year due to reviews taking so long and the month after got a text saying you have an assessment in 4 days. It then took another two weeks for the decision so from returning the forms it took just over 11 months from returning them to getting a decision.

thank you - you too

It can take some time @LIVEDANDLEARNED, and can depend on the region of the UK you are in. Reviews do seem to vary a lot more than new applications.

I have been waiting about 13 months and just got dwp texts until this month's when maximus text from last week from Haas saying they now have it and may do an assessment.. so looks like I'll be having an assessment even though I'm on enhanced for both and had no changes and a lifelong condition but some are lucky and don't have assements so you may just get a review complete text.

So I sent my forms back to pip in December 2023 they received the form back in January they messaged me back again in June stating they still have my form and will be progressing my review soon. I then received a letter in October stating my claim had been extended until november 2025. But now I'm in a predicament as I just started a new motability car application which has now been refused because I have less than 12 months left on my award has anyone else had this problem and how do I get my application accepted whilst I'm still awaiting my review.
