I enjoyed America, especially Washington and Virginia.
Barbados sounds gorgeous.1 -
I'd love to go to America too.Which did you prefer Washington or Virginia?

I really enjoyed Washington as there was so much to see and do. Virginia was so historic. Funny enough I felt right at home there. I did my family tree and found out that I have lots of American relatives who made Virginia their home. I would recommend it.

How fascinating.Sometimes a place can instantly feel like home.Perhaps because you literally have historical connections to it too

I think it's nice when or if we get the opportunity to take our children or grandchildren on holidays as these experiences of different places and parts of the world are such lovely memories for them. Can also be educational but the world is such a huge place and so many beautiful places for us all to see if we can

Any beach anywhere, just to see my husband being able to walk on one! We live in Devon so surrounded by gorgeous coastlines but since he had a near fatal motorbike accident back in May and on a long road to recovery, we haven’t been able too😢

Hoping that dream becomes a reality for you both soon and his recovery is going well.X.

thank you so much. We will get there eventually xx

Yes you will and boy will you both celebrate.I always think it's hard when you have a passion for something and then you can no longer do it through illness or an accident.so goals as we all know or something to look forward to can sometime help.I have known someone in a similar type of situation who recovered well and holidayed in the sun

Without a doubt !Even though I am lucky to live in Devon, it is cold, we live in a rural area which I am not complaining about but we get flooded in a lot over the winter so in answer to your question and being selfish for a second thinking about me, on a white sandy beach in the Maldives in a beach hut over the sea even though I have a phobia of fish ! What about you ?!

After going into the garden today in my dressing gown, I would like to change my answer to; anywhere warm, but not too warm. 😆

I had to look up the Carlisle to Settle train journey as it sounded fab. Then found a website that has luxury train travel all over the country. They are spread out over the country, I know what to ask for Christmas and my birthday in January!!

Dreams! Maldives is on my bucket list, so first choice, there would do me nicely. So is seeing the Northern lights or a return visit to snowy Strasbourg Christmas market enjoying a cup or 3 of vin chaud.

Yes I have Maldives on my list too.I have two separate lists. One with my child and which just involves me in years to come where I can totally relax or do some crazy stuff like jump out of planes etc ( depending on health and money obviously)

Have a nice trip everyone! Who uses a wheelchair, which countries and cities can you recommend, and which are better not to go to?

My friend took her sister, who is a wheelchair user, to Rome, not sure who she used bit she found an agency who specialise in holidays for those who use wheelchairs. They both had a great time and are looking forward to repeating next year.

There's some really nice ideas for holidays in this thread, but I'd love to go back to the Maldives.
Blue sea, white sand, warm sun, cool breeze, lazy days.
