Been diagnosed with cancer, can anyone advise on WCA?

To add more information to this the work allowance applies when either yourself or your partner are working and receiving earnings. As you have children on your claim @Snowflake05 then the work allowance will already apply on your claim.
The LCWRA element is £416.19/month from the 4th month after you provided your first fit note.
It may take a few months for a decision to be made.

Hi I had a question regarding the work assessment questionnaire once they receive it how long till you get a reply to say if you are entitled to LCWRA.
Also if you apply for pip for the first time after how long do you get a respond from DWP if you have been awarded pip or not.
Thank you

There’s no timescales for the WCA decision but going through cancer treatment you will automatically be entitled to LCWRA anyway.
There’s also a full 3 month assessment period waiting time for the extra money. It’s then paid from the 4th month after you provided your first fit note, with first payment being the end of that month.
For PIP from the time you ring to start your claim it can take anywhere up to about 6 months, sometimes longer for a decision.0 -

It’s the cancer treatment that automatically qualifies you. I’m sorry but there’s really no timescales.

I have an appointment with my work coach on Thursday.
I will ask him if they have heard anything would they know.

It’s unlikely they will be able to give any information if your file is still with the assessment provider.
