Lcwra
hello again after looking bac through my journal my first fit note was 8th July 2023 then every month until 16 feb 2024, struggled to get a new fit note as didn’t realise I could request online instead trying to get a go appointment so fit nite uploaded on 5th April 2023 for the dates 26 march until 27 June 2024 then every month until now. I had wca 18 November 2024 then received on journal awarded Lcwra
My assessment periods for UC are 2nd to 1st of month and I receive UC the 8th of the month, does anybody know if I would be entitled to any back pay and when would I receive 1st Lcwra payment as not heard anything yet
Many thanks once again

Advice was given on your other thread here.
As advised in that thread the rules are you're supposed to provide fit notes the whole time without any gaps right up until the decision is made on the WCA. As there were gaps, it's now down to a decision maker to decide when the extra money is paid from.
All you can do is put a message onto your journal under the payment section and ask about the extra money.
Going forward you should receive the LCWRA element in your next statement. You'll need to check to make sure.
Money that's owed is always paid as a separate payment.

I was awarded lcwra on the 27th of November, got a call on the 2nd of December from dwp telling me they owed me some money, received it into my bank today the 4th
Don’t know if I was just lucky that it was that quick

A BACS payment takes 3-5 working days to go into your bank from the date it’s paid.

hi sorry I tried to copy and paste but it didn’t work, so basically in my journal today I was told backdate has been sent to checking team, how will I know if it is being done please because I saw on a different post if I read it right that in previous statements they will have an adjustment on them

Your past statements needs to be recalculated to work out how much money you’ve already received against what you should have received. You will then be paid the difference between the 2. Once that is done you’ll receive a letter in your journal telling you how much is owed and it will be paid into your bank.
Have you received that letter yet?

no just a note saying it’s with the checking team 🙂

When you receive a letter with the amount owed, you'll know that the checking team have finished 😊

There are so many factors when considering timescales for these kind of things to be done, unfortunately it's not possible for anyone to answer that here, other than how long is a piece of string 😊
