What Is Your Favourite Christmas Food?
It's the most wonderful time of the year….FOR FOOD!!!
Lets talk about the iconic christmas dinner..
Do you have the traditional turkey? Gammon? Beef? Or maybe a vegan/veggie alternative? We have a lot of family coming around this year so I'm cooking all 4 in my house! Wish me luck!!
What about the side dishes? Do you keep it classic with roast potatos and honey glazed parsnips or do you enjoy a modern twist with cauliflower cheese?
And the controversial brussel sprout! These are 50/50 in my family, personally I am a big fan of the tiny cabbage.
And what about the picky bits for grazing on throughout the festive period? This is my favourite christmas food - olives, baguette, dips, crisps, crackers.
I am doing the big Christmas food shop tomorrow and I will be buying olives to enjoy with my feet up while watching the Gavin and Stacy Christmas Special on Christmas Day!
What are some of your favourite Christmas Foods? And what do you have on your Christmas dinner?

That sounds very tasty @Sandy_123. A Yorkshire pudding on Christmas dinner sounds absolutely delicious @durhamjaide2001

I guess it's nice if you have a choice, sadly as we all know there will be many who don't have that option.

Food to me is something to keep my engine running and topped up - don't particularly think about what I eat other than - no anchovies please.
Grab first thing out fridge or freezer, quite often i'll make soup too

Does chocolate count?😁
I'm so funny about what I will and won't eat . If I make the effort on Christmas day it might be quorn chicken breast, stuffing , three, possibly four sprouts, carrots I'm not sure about yet. Probably roast potatoes. No gravy or sauces.
I did use to like pigs in blankets and am pretty sure I've got some vegan sasuages in the freezer. But that's a lot on one plate for me. The flip side is that my dog would happily eat all that apart from the stuffing😁

My favoutites are, prawn cocktail, homemade not bought, sadly not with dad's wonderful sauce & homemade mince pies, that's mince meat & pastry, but, sadly not with mum's amazing pastry. With those two, I'd be a happy camper. My actual will be prawn cocktail, turkey & a homemade low carb mince pie. There will be all the trimmings though, as there are 12 of us & we're having it on Sunday. Christmas day will be a late buffet so the kids can enjoy their pressies at home first. Of the 12, we have a birthday on the 26th (mum's was then too) & another on the 27th.

Turkey stuffing cranberry sauce mix, sadly really hard to get meals for 1 or 2 that has turkey with stuffing now days.
When younger used to like Christmas pudding, I also love things like brussels, but with no one to cook for me, and no invites for Christmas dinners, its the basics, what I can do.
