2025

Is anyone apprehensive about 2025 , I am. After Christmas it goes downhill. Even worse on new years day especially as we know some of the things that lie in wait from this uncaring government

I always enjoy the arrival of Spring Andi.
The lengthening days have all sorts of positive influence over our moods and brain health. Eventually it may even get warmer.
There's no point worrying, I don't. I find it easiest to see what comes and learn to enjoy whatever that brings.
Good luck

I'm worried about what changes may come regarding PIP. I was hoping Labour would be more sympathetic to our needs but I am afraid I was wrong. I stress about it every day despite knowing I shouldn't

I was going to say dreading it too but we now in extra care and enjoying each day as it comes and trying not to worry about the future.
After last comment though as I also love springHoping we all have a happy, Healthy New Year though

Yep starting to feel angry how they have left us knowing how we are feeling how it's making people worse hoping ellen clifford got somewhere with her case tbh I don't want to face anything and knowing that have to is draining let's hope for the best

I always find that period between boxing day and new years day leads to all kinds of weirdness. Time seems to have no meaning and you really tend to overthink things and dwell on other bits. Hopefully once it's 2025, things will start to feel a bit more normal. 😊
I've put all thoughts of potential PIP changes to the back of my mind, as I can't change anything, so there's no point in worrying until we see what they actually have planned.

In regards to benefits, it's best that we carry on as normal.normal. I just hope Labour will be less cruel and not do anything to put disabled people at risk. Whatever their plans are, nothing will go in effect for ages. We still have the outcome of the Ellen Clifford case. Lets hope it goes in our favour.
I am hoping to get a flat this year. Be a while yet.
2025 is the start of a new year, a clean slate.

It is strange, I've taken down my decorations today. In between these times I'm having a clear out. Got load of books I'm taking to the charity shop after New year when they open. I usually do animal or elderly. My local scope has closed unfortunately. Started a new hobby just before Christmas which was pom pom making, made decorations, and wreaths. Going to give a few to my local rspca to sell.

Although facing a whole new year can be daunting, perhaps break it down into manageable chunks. Are there seasons or celebrations you particularly enjoy? You could focus on these and plan how you can celebrate these? Is there a hobby you’d like to learn or rediscover? (I find resolutions easy to break, but find setting achievable goals more helpful eg by the end of January I’d like to have …. If I succeed I’ll celebrate by and set a goal for February, if I don’t achieve it I review if I’ll get there in February- remembering it’s a very short month - if you continue not doing it review why. Is it really that important to you? After months of not joining the gym I realised I’m too embarrassed and it’s too expensive so looked into simple exercises at home). Are there friends you’d like to spend more time with this year? Use this twixmas to perhaps book some dates in your diary so that there’s things to look forward to on the new year. Hope this helps .
