Disability Payments.

well it has been discussed today on morning tv that Labour have said cuts to disability allowances is not off the table. I remember some people on this site saying Labour needs to be given a chance. The problem is once they were able to take away the Winter Fuel payments without any worth while challenges from their own MP’s they pushed it through regardless of the condemnation of charities and the elderly. That gave them the green light to go for Disability Benefits, let’s face it a high proportion of the country is going to be behind them as many feel we are benefit scroungers which is not the case, this scenario has often been portrayed in the media. I’m sure every person on this site needs their disability allowances to help them financially with the daily challenges their disability financially impacts on their daily activities.
Hopefully the Government will not cut our benefits, Labour needs to stop hiding behind the excuse that it’s the financial mess the Conservatives left them in. Labour are making the choice in the cuts they make not the Conservatives. Why not cut overseas support to country’s that don’t need it, stop wasting taxpayers money on wasted projects that never come to fruition. etc.
It will be interesting here other peoples views on this.

DWP cuts are on the front page of the I Newspaper. There's discussion on X/ Twitter. There are more details that we had before but it's increasingly likely that there will be major change.

Norman GMB did mention it this morning in between discussions regarding winter fuel and the drop in Labours ratings.

Don’t go to bed Catherine see it as a challenge to prove the system wrong as we are worth so much to society, we have voices to let the powers be know who we are and we are not going away. We have as much right to breath on this earth as the abled bodied person.
