LCW on ESA

I had LCW on my ESA. We then moved house and had to claim universal credit back in Nov 2021. The LCW element wasn’t included on my universal credit claim which I have just realised. Will universal credit amend this and pay any backdated money due to there error. There was no break between the claim for universal credit and ESA.
I have been awarded LCWRA recently, and because of this only realised the error. Any advice would be gratefully received.

When were you first awarded LCW on ESA?

Did DWP initiate the WCA that awarded you LCWRA?

If when you moved to Universal Credit you had LCW then there would not have been an element to add. The element would have only been added if you had LCWRA.

That's only correct if their ESA claim started after 3rd April 2017. If it started before that then their ESA would have included the WRAG amount, which would be LCW for UC.

I was awarded LCW on ESA in 2013.

In that case yes UC should have been paying you the LCW element since you first moved from ESA.

You are indeed owed money for this error and this would be backdated to the time of your transfer.

I have recently had WCA and been awarded LCWRA on universal credit. But my first month of UC was back in Nov 2021 so am I due the LCW amount backdated to then as it was missed off ?

Yes, as I advised you are entitled to a backdate and this would be to the time of your transfer from ESA to UC.
