Pip assessment report doesn't give indication on whether I will receive pip

So I had pip back in 2019 for 2 years but couldn't reapply at the time because my mental health was awful. I recently reapplied. Had a video call assessment and then a text from DWP to say they'd received the written report. I called PIP and asked for them to send me a copy of the assessment report. I was happy with 98% of what had been written but I was hoping I'd get an indication on whether the assessor thinks I should be awarded PIP, but I wasn't. As I'm sure most are aware, waiting is the difficult part but I'm none the wiser and my anxiety is through the roof.

Sorry let me also say, I had my assessment on 24th May and DWP text me the next day saying they had received the written report. Also, when I call now, the security questions are my dob, telephone number and date I received my last PIP payment but I haven't even had a decision yet? Sorry, I'm just stressing.0

Any recommended points are not added up in the report because it’s just a recommendation only.
You need to add them up yourself. In the report you should see activities and descriptors. Next to them there will be a dot, so for example activity 1 preparing food, A = 0, B = 2, C = 3 etc etc. You can use the PIP self test and transfer the dots from the report into the self test. At the end it will add any points up that maybe recommended. See link https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/pip-test-formYou need at least 8 points for standard and at least 12 points for Enhanced. Daily living and mobility are added up separately.0 -
Thank you for replying but I don't see that in my report.0

It should be towards the back of the report. All the descriptors should be there with a justification for the descriptor choice underneath.0

The only thing I see is something that says "Based on the claimants likely future circumstances, it would be appropriate to review the claim in 2 years"

So I figured it out and did the test that Poppy123456 posted. Says 15 points for daily living and 10 points for mobility.0

That doesn’t really mean anything at all. If the descriptors aren’t there then you clearly haven’t been sent the full report. How many pages are there in total?0

There are 24 pages. I figured it out and did the test on the link you sent.0

Are there points recommended?0

It says 15 points for daily living and 10 points for mobility. I just checked what was ticked on my report.0

That will indicate Enhanced daily living and standard mobility. They mostly go with it but it has been known for them to go against it. You will need to wait for the decision. This can take up to 12 weeks from when the report was returned to DWP.1

Thank you Poppy123456. I did speak to a lady on Friday on the phone who said they're getting through them relatively quick so hopefully a decision will be made sooner rather than later. Its making my anxiety worse because last time I was refused and had to do a MR and an appeal. I won on appeal but it was almost 2 years of constant stress. I don't want to have to go through that again.0

@misszxo It sounds promising based on the assessors report, so let's keep our fingers crossed for a positive outcome Is there a hobby or anything you can focus on while you receive that decision letter? I find distraction is key to dealing with the unknown!

Cher-scope I no your post is quite old but I’m not in the same position and wondered if your assessment report was the same as your decision? X

Unfortunately, cher no longer works for scope so no longer posts on the forum. Mostly the go with the report, it's rare for them to go against it but It can happen.
