Catherine as you've been advised many times, welfare benefits are enshrined in law, the process to make any changes is a very long one.
No matter how many times you ask the answer remains the same 🙂

Do you know what 'realpolitik' is? Countries offer help to other countries, and not always out the goodness of their hearts.

my health has taken a U turn in the negative direction since following the recent news and insult on the most vulnerable community in the UK. I feel sick to see the wordings in some of the recent statements made by Reeves and PM😢😢

I've removed a number of comments from this discussion.
We understand that there is a lot of speculation and rumour at the moment, and tensions are high as we all wait for clarity on what is planned. However, it's important to keep posts factual, avoid spreading misinformation, and remain civil with one another.
This is a difficult time for many, and people express their concerns in different ways.

The most important thing is that we all stand together in this. The government needs to see that we will never back down.We will fight for our rights and demonstrate the power of unity!
Thanks to organisations like Scope, I feel reassured and supported.
Thank you!

I’ve had a look on the Parliament minutes or whatever it’s called and looks like her speech on benefits might be after PMQs which is at 12pm so I think she’s going to speak on that this afternoon, Kendall will be speaking aswell. It’s titled something like benefit cap overspending or something so I don’t know if she’ll be announcing a new benefit cap? Yeah I don’t think labour back benchers are going to accept Thatcherite policies on the poor somehow they opposed the same policies in opposition

It's related to the Government's welfare spend cap, not the individual household one.

She's yapping now on Sky News but on Oxfordshire visit so might not cover welfare/benefits just when I've sat down to rest and get my breath 🙄

Thank you for correcting me I’m not used to reading direct off of the Parliament website. Just wish they’d get on with it so we can have some clarity I feel like I can’t do anything today until I’ve heard what they’re going to say
