A friend recently been awarded high rate mobili4y session and sent vehicle tax exception letter just wanted to know as the only while available to her while being driven to appointments errand groups etc can she apply for the tax exception even rhough it's a van and not a car. It's the only vehicle in household. And use to be used until she could no longer drive. Many thanks

Hi,
The tax exemption does apply to a van the same as a car.
Please be aware that once it's been changed to disabled class, the vehicle can only be used for the purposes of the disabled person.
