LCWRA and PIP Reviews

Hello everyone,

My LCWRA went to a tribunal and the court said I should not be asked again for a minimum of 2 years.

Those 2 years are nearly up, however, my physical or mental health has not improved.

When I receive my review for LCWRA, will I also have to submit all the medical reports like I did when I first applied?

I’m also receive PIP, but that doesn’t finish until December 2025, do I send my medical reports then too?

Thank you everyone for your advice

For LCWRA there's no end date and this continues until a new decision says otherwise. The timescale they gave is just a guide and it doesn't mean you'll be reviewed at that time. In fact, I would say there's a very slim chance of a review at that time because they've been suspended for the majority of people since around March 2020.

For PIP usually they contact you about 8 months before the award is due to end so you should expect a review form around April this year. Yes, you should treat it as a new claim and give as much relevant information as possible. Any extra evidence you have to support your claim should be sent when you return the form.

Do be aware though that decisions for PIP reviews have extremely long delays and many people are waiting about a year for a decision. Your current award will continue until a decision is made.

Thank you Poppy, this is a great help to understand what’s next.

I will ask my GP for another Heath Report in April, and print off any new Reports for the Hospital and Phycologist.

Should I also include the previous health reports that I sent originally? Or do they have a date limit on evidence?

Thank you again Poppy, I’m just trying to get organised to relieve any surprises or stress .

It will depend on what the new health report says. If it says similar to your last one then there's no need to send the previous one again. No, there's limit on how old the evidence can be as long as it's still relevant.
