Liz Kendall plans forced to be shelved

hi hope all are ok, this is a follow up from the other post about Liz Kendall’s plans for scrapping disability benefits (her major overhaul plans)
Im glad to have seen today that she has been forced to shelve such plans by the courts.
Thank God the judge had sense and empathy like any normal human being and basically told Kendall to shove them plans up your backside.
It’s a win for us for now but no doubt they will draw up some other scheme that’s not so barbaric in nature.
flabargasted people like Kendall and Resves exist and are able to sleep at night.

So does this mean there will be no reforms in the spring to disability benefits? Is there a source to this news please

Nothing has been set in stone until the official spring announcement in March.
Labour are still saying that there will be disability benefit reforms as they claim they cannot maintain the growing benefits bill.

I didnt read the article, its a rag so wouldnt surprise me if not a quality source, but if true I understand there still will be a green paper, but the rag claimed it will be watered down. I prefer to wait untilk its a quote from a minister, same article claimed its against Reeve's wishes. Usually the chancellor can impose their will on the DWP.

yes there will be reforms but not the crazy plans she first wanted. And rightly so.

From what I understand, the 'shelved' part covers some of the previous government's plans. A judge has said that the public weren't consulted on them appropriately.
As far as I'm aware, Labour will still be reforming benefits in their own way and will have to put forward their own plans and consultations. We should learn more in the Spring ☺️

Don’t be mistaken whether it was former governments plan or not.
Kendall was fully trying to go with it too and pushing for it.
let’s not think Labour had no other choice here, they were fully for it too.
They could have easily dismissed those ideas when they came in to power but they didn’t.
it took a judge to do it, and if he hadn’t you can bet your last dollar Kendall would have gone forward with former governments plans2 -
Does anybody have the date that the review is planned for ?
Was it in March ?
