WCA waiting time

HI kimmy87 thank you for replying. I've been so worried about DWP contacting my employer I asked him myself just now and he said they've had nothing.
I put a request on my journal under payment and it was my case manager that got back to me saying she could not give me any update on my WCA as my case manager. She also said the relevant department would get in contact in due course.
I replied asking for a copy of my assessment providers report and she said I'm not allowed one until a desition has been made. Ive been in contact with my case manager today Does this all sound correct I'm absolutely beside myself

It's been a very long time since I had a WCA, but I always thought like PIP you could request a copy of the report before the decision.
Perhaps I am wrong and someone else can advise.

OKay thank you for all your advise anyway I really appreciate it.

There isn't any extra money paid with LCW.
If you'd like to appeal the decision, see this link:

Hi folks, could the experts amongst you cast your eyes over my case?
I sent the latest edition of my WCA back in April. It got received in time, got a signature to prove it. Didn't hear anything for months, finally at my "review" in Sept they said it'd been rejected, although still receiving payments as normal.
Rang up the private company idiots dealing with my WCA early Oct, they claimed I'd sent it late + said they would immediately tell DWP to stop paying me the disability premium.
Complained to DWP, they overturned it at once and sent it back to the sam e company for another review.
Not heard anything since. Asked my "work coach" he says he's no access to info about their assessment but nothing's changed with my claim. He thinks it's ok to assume everything's ok. Don't know whether it's worth pursuing or let sleeping dogs lie…?

Your PIP won't be effected. I can't answer as to being reviewed earlier. Possibly as the limited capacity in the system currently has seen more LCW/WRAG re assessments than LCWRA/SG. But this might change in future. No one really knows.

Only the health assessment provider would be able to give you an update, as your case is with them. Likely waiting on appointment availability, some people are having to wait a long time for WCA appointments.

HI sorry kimmy87 I didn't understand the last bit of the answer sorry if in coming g across as thick but did you mean I could be assessed earlier because I got lcw?
0 -
I said I didn't know, currently more with LCW than LCWRA are being re assessed, but that could change in the future.

Okay so people on lcw ate being reassessed for their LCW Aor for their pip entitlement please,?

For LCW.
PIP is entirely independent from the UC WCA process.
Even though more on LCW than LCWRA are being re assessed, the numbers are still small, re assessments at a large scale have been suspended for a number of years and as a result massive backlogs exist in the system.

Thanks Kimmy, hadn't thought of that…
