theres a doctor on twitter who has said that nothing will change anytime soon, most changes will only apply to new claims, the proposals will be substantially watered down as they go through the commons and then we will take them to court under the equality act and win.she seems to know what shes talking about and is trying to calm disabled people.she also said that if they try and reduce lcwra they would be crucified in court under the equality act.if the government leaked the details to see how people react id say the reaction of most people is very negative to outright hostile to these plans.i think they will be very silly to try and do these changes even for new claims because its yet another attack on the poorest in society.

it makes me think they leaked it to see if the reaction they’ll get , either that or someone so disgusted by it leaked it . Either way how can they legally cut back LCWRA after the judge in the Ellen Clifford case said it was illegal?

Dr Jay Watts. I'I've Started following her and i agree with what she says.

I know they are not abolishing it as I pointed our yesterday on here all I knew of at the time was that they stated they were reducing LCWRA

Thank you I’ve written a 9 page statement about everything and explained how much they upset me, what they got wrong and did the SAR and got more medical evidence just waiting for my partner to finish a statement aswell then we’ll be sending it off glad that you got it in the end ❤️

Any chance of a layman's terms post by SCOPE to reduce panic and inaccurate comments please? I think members are awaiting this even if there's not much to tell.

I totally understand @emc123 but the issue we have right now is we have no actual news to break down for people, it's all just rumours. But I'll have a chat with the team on Tuesday when we're all together. 😊
Scope will of course make a formal statement when we have the facts in front of us.

Benefit Cuts were Not what was deemed Unlawful, it was the way in which the Consultation was handled that was Unlawful, not a Particular Part of the Proposals within it.

no it means pip won't have a rise in 2026.
0 -
It means that in financial year 2026/27 PIP will be paid at the same rate as in financial year 2025/26. It won't go up in accordance with the inflation rate as it will next month.
