Yep, it's all well and good for people who have either no understanding of the need for it or complete disdain for those who do.

Same here. Last assessor actually lowered mobility and raised care so they made a saving of about £50 a month. I went to MR and got it back but was advised against asking for length of award extension at that time . The case manager was really good so I’m upset I didn’t ask at the time

but the rumour flying around on Social media apparently "leaked"
LCWRA payments will be frozen at its current rate for a time not disclosed whilst the non
LCWRA has increases, So basically that part will be cut = "You sure you cant do a bit of work"
If correct they were seriously going to Freeze both payments??? when they openly accept the cost of living is hammering the poorest in society.
The huge question again if correct will MP's be happy ? the way prices are increasing
Its going to mean even more people pushed into poverty I would argue for many it would be destitution.
To offset would they bring back the proper social fund? so people could apply for Grants on items like clothes/Underwear/Washing Machines etc

My brother lives in France and he is unable to work. He sees someone once a month like an advisor, they help him getting oil for his heating, new tyres . He goes to the foodbank. But they seem very helpful not like here. He is appalled when I tell him what's going on here

Yes they will for people with visual disabilities ie wheelchair user, but the disabilities that can't be seen, ie mental health, they will not look after, that's in my option, is country and the government are going backwards, as much as 40 years, it's unbelievable that they can't get away with it

Yes he seems to be fine with Trump now I remember before Trump got in he sent or wanting to send campaigners fully funded over there to help the Dems. ☺

This is what I suspect too because it's so much easier for them to look at any less visible or invisible disabilities and dismiss them.

Thinking back, on my first assessment they didn't give me any mobility, only daily care, which was ridiculous as my mobility was (is) bad. Various people told me it was wrong but I didn't dare contend it in case they took the whole lot away. That is why I wasn't really expecting the ten year award this time round.

One government figure told me it would result in some conditions, such as "milder mental health" or "lower-level physical conditions", being ineligible for PIP.
But they stressed that those with more severe conditions and who are never going to be able to work would be protected and cared for.

Protected and Cared for? like the months of endless stress, the non stop rhetoric that had right wing papers drooling and loving the word "scrounger" "workshy"
The really sad thing about this if they actually just spoke about #brexit and the disaster its been just something as simple as making sure goods and services align with the EU would provide the UK Economy with 2.2 % Growth. Just cutting back red tape and actually getting a viable solution sorted until a main party leader decided to make the case to rejoin the EU fully.

you can request they only reconsider certain questions and say you’re happy with whichever question you gained points on . The one at my tribunal kept asking if I wanted them to look at a certain question again as she knew if I lost the points I’d lose my lowest care. I said no and she had to accept that.

And there throwing out the narrative to the general public, that most people are faking their MH issues, and trying to paint us a fraudsters ,that are robbing off the tax payer, like they did to the man working cash in the hand in 80s to feed his children, I love Rachel Reeves or Liz Kendall to sit in my head for just one day, where getting out of bed in a struggle, and you hate yourself for it being a struggle and just want a so called normal live ,and work, but sometimes it's not the simple, like I said if they they their criteria through , this country has gone back 80s, after such a big deal make about mental health just a few years, and it's still the biggest cause of death of men under 30, same on them all, and they will have blood on their hands
