Telephone Assessment
Hi finally after years of putting it off put in a claim for PIP. Have an 11 am call tomorrow for assessment. Don't think I'll sleep well tonight, hopefully it will go well but I have seen just how awful and manipulative this system can be. See you on the other side, hopefully 🤔

Felt bored. Mailed my MP
She's Green, so if/when I do get a reply it will not be the standard Labour party line. You will recall from the election that the 'small but mighty Greens' were going to hold Labour to account. Indeed, yes. All 4 of them. Dear Siân Berry. I am a single woman of 69. I have spinal curvature and can only walk with a rollator…

Hi, my name is lasenky! PIP inconsistencies
hi I had the same issue of inconsistency I received a phone call last week and was told in detail what my award was for both living and mobility payments and how much I was owed,I called 6 days later to ask when I should expect it as I was told within 5 days I will receive my back pay only to be told that the system says I…

Does working change my accessment?
Hello I am very new to PIP claims as I have only recently became disabled. The accessor phoned and initially said she was going to do an accessment over the phone which I was very happy with. She then phoned back a short time later to say that because I have returned to work she must do an in person accessment. This didn't…

Appeal response
Hi all, I’m waiting on my appeal hearing. I’ve had a text message to say the DWP have responded so I rang the PIP helpline and they wouldn’t discuss it. They told me to ring the court which I did and the court wouldn’t tell me as they said the document is over 600 pages long. Does anyone know why this would be and if I…

Even the PIP2 prepaid envelope won’t stick down properly!
After weeks of prepping I’ve finally completed the PIP2 form for a new claim. What an absolute ballache to complete! Now need some cellotape to secure the pre paid envelope because the tight ar5es can’t afford to buy envelopes with enough glue on them!! It’s all part of their scheme to make sure the contents get “lost in…

Successful PIP Tribunal

It’s taken 12 months from stopping it to actually getting to trial Here are my recommendations Be consistent - Be Truthful - know what the descriptors mean and how they affect you on a daily basis…

One down, 999 to go
From Corrections at The Times August 19, 2024 We wrongly said that personal independence payment is for people who are medically unfit for work, and that GPs acted as gatekeepers for the benefit (Comment, Aug 19). The benefit is also available to those in work and GPs do not decide on eligibility. There is a columnist,…

PIP
I have just read about the new assessment system. Will the DWP assess those already on PIP like they used to and make the decision to renew the PIP or will the new companies do all the reassessments as well (including those that would normally just be extended due to life long illness/no cure etc)??

Change in circumstances - improvement but still being paid
Hi everyone I called PIP in April to report an improvement in my condition which I know will stop me from being eligible for PIP. However, I've still been paid PIP since and received no text or letter about a review. I've read that they can ask for repayment of any overpaid PIP if you do not report the change in…

Text received saying I have been awarded PIP, should I be worried that I haven't been paid?
Afternoon all! Hope you are all doing well and keeping cool this week with the weather we're having! I'm Sam and I recently applied for PIP (around April time) and had my Telephone assessment in June. I was offered the chance to get a copy of my report the very day after and it arrived within the week, and come Monday this…

Pip review
Good morning. I got a high mobility and mid-care award two years ago. I have FND, which has flare-ups, left-sided weakness, tremors, balance issues, chronic fatigue, and memory issues, e.g. if I leave a room, I forget why and leave stuff on that burns, and my vision gets worse each year with diplopia. I also have…
