Hi,

My name is Jason and I am an undergraduate student studying psychology at Nottingham Trent University.

I am currently testing the validity and reliability of a proposed scale that aims to measure the degree to which a person's pain-related psychological state correlates with their pain perception.

I have recently received ethical approval to disseminate the survey and would greatly appreciate your participation.

If the results of my scale indicate that the psychological aspect of pain heavily differs between patients, without correlating to differences in perceived pain, it would hopefully mark a step in changing how the concept of perceived pain is viewed. Specifically, I hope that it would encourage physicians to treat chronic pain patients according to their individual needs rather than use a one-size-fits-all approach.

Here is a link to the survey: https://ntupsychology.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6P4vjqZDDg1B7oy

If you would like your individual results please email me with your unique identifier code at: T0276537@my.ntu.ac.uk

Kind regards,

Jason

    Hi Jason,

I tried to access the survey but the link provided only shows information with no survey. Has it been closed? If not I would like to participate and help with your studies.

I believe the link should be working now @dijon_di! If not though, please feel free to email T0276537@my.ntu.ac.uk  :)

Apologies for the late response. Do you see a blue arrow in the bottom right hand side of the information sheet when you scroll to the bottom? If not I am not sure what the problem is as the link works on my device. Got to love technology! Thanks for attempting anyways :)

Hi Jason, just completed the survey. I would have liked to have seen a self-employed option in the work question. An option to add additional information for some of the questions might also have given you a better insight into living with chronic pain, especially around the year the pain started question but I also understand that you may have had limitations on how you could create the survey. Hope my answers helped.
