Hi @4peanuts ... I'm a fellow Fibro' sufferer and like you was very active.
Two things are working for me - acceptance and don't compare how you were pre symptoms to how you are now

There's also 'understanding' - they think mine stems from too many physical traumas (RTC's and Forestry accidents) coupled with the onslaught of PTSD that my body said - that's it. Enough

    Who knows ?
I do know that I'm very lucky to have an amazing team of HealthCare professionals with me on this very painful ride

    Enjoy the good days  :)

Thank you, I am trying but unfortunately I am being removed from my home as my mother passed away plus have been found fit for work,so now face two other huge issues that have hindered my healing and acceptance of it all.
I am trying to stay positive through out and appreciate your honesty and advice.I know I am in the right place to learn how to cope and move forward.

Hello @4peanuts and a warm welcome to our online community, how are you doing today?

I'm sorry to hear you're in a difficult situation with your housing. When you say you are being removed from your home, do you have somewhere safe to go? If you could fill us in on that a little bit more (I appreciate it might be difficult), then that will help us be there for you support wise.

Also, how are you handling the loss of your mum and living with your health conditions? Grief is very hard but know you can lean on us for online support any time you need it.

Please do make yourself at home on our community in any of our different categories or recent discussions. It would be fab to speak some more  :) Take care and have a relaxing night.

Hi I am in my family home at the moment.
My mother passed January 22,I had been looking after her.The council then informed me I have to move due to under occupancy (this I understand but the council said I would be taken to court or made homeless if I don't accept alternative "mouldy" accomodation) but I fell ill prior to my mums passing and just haven't been left alone to grieve/heal let alone get to grips with what has happened properly since.
So it has been tremendously hard and emotionally exhausting,
But if I can learn to get the stress and diagnosis under control then perhaps I can get stronger to deal with the Council and the situation.

I'm glad you're getting support from your family @4peanuts and welcome to the community from me :)

If you wanted to look into additional support for managing everything going on with the council, particularly if you feel you are being treated unfairly, you can contact the local government and social care ombudsman

Something else which might help, as I know grief affects us all in different ways, could be reaching out to Cruse Bereavement Support to help heal and process what's happened in the last year. This kind of support isn't right for everyone, but often talking about things can help.

Let us know if we can help with anything further, and I hope you find the community a supportive place to be.
