Hello, I just received my pip review forms and this is my first time dealing with the review, my mental health conditions havnt changed and I’ve actually got worse physically but I’m very concerned they will say no award and I’ll have to go through appeals again I had to go to a MR the first time around to be awarded higher rate daily living and I’m still waiting on my tribunal for my mobility component, what happens if they say no and I have to appeal again will I have to go months without pay while I wait? I’m really worried about finances if they stop my pip, thank you I’m advance for any advice

When filling out those forms you need to treat it as a new claim and give as much information as possible without telling your life story.

Include a couple of real world incidents of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you. Adding detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.

Any decision made on your review will overrule the Tribunal decision. So if the worst happens at review and you're refused your payments will stop and then the process starts again.

You must have had a very short award if you have a review already and you haven't had the Tribunal decision yet. You can also ask for a longer award but you'll need to state why you think a longer award will be more appropriate.

Thank you for the advice, my award started in 2021 it’s taken nearly 2 years and I’m still waiting for my hearing date ! Part of me is hopeful my pip will continue as if they have said before I’m entitled and nothing has got better surely they can’t change their mind and say no now? But then again this is the dwp and they seem to make it up as they go!

At review your award can either stay the same, be increased, decreased or you can lose it completely. Just because you have an award now, there's no guarantee it will be award again.

That’s so scary to think I might have to go through appeals for years again I’m so worried I hope it doesn’t take years to sort out this time :(

If you are, on the majority of days, unable to go out then 10 points is the correct point score and you cannot score 12 under the planning and following a journey section.

I thought it was 12 points if you can’t go out alone? Is that not under the planning and following part?

No. It’s 12 points if you can go out but need someone with you (or with a guide dog or orientation aid). If, on the majority of days, you can’t go out at all then you cannot score 12 points.

Right now i am filling in my PIP review form and i am finding it very difficult. It has been said on here that we should treat it as a fresh PIP claim and provide as much info as possible, but how can we do that when the DWP only ask us to talk about our CHANGES since the last assessment?..Is there any guide out there on how to fill in this form please,as it really is causing me,and probably many others, a lot of anxiety.

If there's no change you can write something like, i still need help with XYZ or i still need to use and aid for xyz.

You should also include a couple of real world incidents of exactlty what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you. Adding detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were. You should aim for at least half an A4 side of paper per descriptor that applies to you.

Use extra sheets of paper because i always find there's never enough of room on the form to write everything. Make sure you include your name and NI number on everything you send.

The threads are not disappearing. The reason you're getting confused is because you're asking the questions on other peoples threads. The thread you commented on a few minutes ago is here. https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/100992/pip-tribunal#latest

It's no problem @jw68 :) I know the community can take some getting used to. Do you understand how it works a little more, now? Please let us know if there's anything in particular you're feeling unsure about.

Yes thanks....but just one question Tori..Is it true that a thread will go right to the top of the pile if somebody just views it,as opposed to posting a comment on it?

It only applies if someone comments on it.

Yep, poppy123456 is right @jw68 :) It's done by comments, not views. We 'announce' some posts, which means they 'stick' at the top, regardless of when the last comment was.
