Do You Invert Game Controls?

I started a new console game this morning, and immediately ended up looking up at the sky! It's something I forget about for 99.9% of the time. But whenever I get a new game, I always have to invert the controls to use it. Not sure why this is. Perhaps the first games I had were default inverted? Perhaps it's something to do with visual perception? It got me wondering how many others also have to invert the controls.

I think when I had a console I used to have it set so moving the joystick up makes you look up.
On my PC game that I play today (A MMORPG), I have it so you have to drag the mouse down to look up and vice versa.
That said I think if I were to play a FPS game on the PC, I would want to have it so you looked in the same direction you moved the mouse!

No. Default joystick layout.I play without inversion, though I know in some games, things like swimming and flying are easier inverted. I think I might have done the races in Spyro with inverted controls, but it was some time ago now
I guess the way your brain processes movement and how that translates on to the screen feels more natural when it's inverted @OverlyAnxious, I think if we can play in a way that makes us feel comfortable that's what matters.
Sometimes when we don't have the option to choose it can be quite limiting. Hopefully whenever PS5's new accessible controller comes out, it will help players play the way they want!1
