My name is Judy .
I have just started universal credit recently. Now I’m told I’ll be tested for lwca because I’m unable to work 40 hrs. I’m 58 years old. Left a bad marriage over a yrs ago now. I’ve two lovely rescue dogs who keep me sane. I’m a self employed cleaner. Great to be here and thank you for having me x

I’m terrified of being in debt. I worry about everything, I left a bad marriage a yr ago and still having problems mentally. Doctor gave me a number to ring but I’ve not yet done it, I will though.  I just worry that my health is going down the pan and I can’t earn like I couldn’t. I’m a cleaner.
My dogs are Wilma and Martha. Love them to bits.

It sounds like you have been and continue to go through a really difficult time @punchnJudy64. You have done such a great job at reaching out to us.

How are you feeling about ringing the number given to you by your doctor? We are here for you and listening to you if you would like to share more with us.

Wilma and Martha sound great - would you feel comfortable sharing their bread with us? I would love to hear more about Wilma and Martha  :)

not sure not sure I’m replying in the right place. I’m nervous of ringing it to be honest. I put it off all last week. While I was with him I thought there was only one way out. Now I’m out I’m much more relaxed at home.  I’m uncomfortable around a lot of men but not all men. Mainly if it’s a small room or it’s someone who can control things, like the doctor, I burst into tears and couldn’t tell him everything.
wilma and Martha are Romanian rescues. The have suffered so much and still have their nerves and quirks. Martha is quite small , probably the size of a male westie. Wilma is mountain dog size. They have kept me sane( ish). Martha was a street dog who was caught and hung by a farmer because she had pups in his barn. Luckily she was found by the rescue after dumping her pups at the shelter. Wilma was beaten and dumped, left for dead with her sister, who was sadly gone when they were found. I’d do anything for them to make their lives good. Martha is now a normal dog, Wilma still very nervous.

    Hello @punchnJudy64

Wilma and Martha are brilliant names for dogs :) I'm so sorry you are having such a difficult time. I saw that the GP gave you a number to call and I wanted to let you know about SHOUT. They are a free 24/7 mental health service through text. I know it can be a less anxious way of communication for a lot of people and thought it may be something that could help?

Oh thank you. Yes that might be better for me as I have a bit of a block when it comes to ringing people. That’s why I put it off.
Yeah my dogs have been a lifeline for me.  They make me go out instead of sitting in the house. I do work but had to get a ltd hours fit note as I’m struggling with my health. I’m not very good at not been fit. I’d rather keep pushing myself like I always have but I’m getting older and probably need to admit defeat lol. Thank you for your help.

Completely hear you @punchnJudy64 and how difficult phone calls can be. It sounds like an asset to have your dogs, especially as they make you go out instead of sitting in the house.

I recognise how difficult it can be to recognise pushing yourself might not always be the best thing and that you are struggling.

Please don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything else we can do to support you  :)

That's so lovely @punchnJudy64! What kind of dresses have you received? Do you take suits too?

Yes they are asking for suits. It’s for Sam worth school in Mansfield. Then I was giving away a tv stand and it went quicker than I lol, had to dash about moving things. I don’t have a lot since learnt marriage but we can still help folk out. I’m hoping the teacher requesting these clothes fetches them soon so my house can get bk to normal again .  I’ll be sat for a while now as the old joints are paining. X

Yeah I do. I don’t know any of them so will probably never know but at least I’ve done a bit to help kids in the community. I’m not too good at meeting people especially men so I thought I can do this and just pass them on x
