Join us in asking the government to introduce discounted energy bills for older and disabled people

You've raised an important point about eligibility @2oldcodgers. Scope and Age UK's collective view is that older people in receipt of Pension Credit should be eligible for the social tariff, as should other at risk older people, as identified through Government and supplier data. This would mean that many older people on lower incomes who are struggling with their energy bills would be eligible under our proposals.Further details about who we feel should be eligible for the social tariff are included in the brief we'll be sending to Government officials. Our hope is that we can work with these officials to roll out a social energy tariff that supports older and disabled people in the right way.
I hope that helps!0
