Just received text from DWP this morning stating that someone will re-look at my claim by 19/04/2023, here's to hoping I've sent enough in for them to re consider, but have it all tucked away ready for going to tribunal. Will keep you all updated.

Just to keep everyone updated, and also to remind people of some important anecdotal information.

I am still awaiting MR descision, and my impatience got the better of me on Wednesday, so I called DWP to give them more info (neurology referral finally came through). I explained to the lady on the phone my situation, and she was lovely really. She advised me that Case Manager has contacted Assessors for more information (due to falsehoods and contradictions I think), and she went on to say that this is sometimes a good sign (I explained I tried applying for PIP  myself and have more than likely messed up with not using correct language, so expecting to go to Tribunal) She showed lots of empathy and understanding which is what I mainly wanted to share with you all 😄

I've gone from 0 points (original) to 2 points (MR), I see that as progress, now on to Appeal.

I am not expecting much better than that, and I did mention to the lady I am anticipating Tribunal, this is when she commented on case manager contacting Atos for further info.

I wish you good luck with your appeal, I have managed to find an advocate to assist me with going further.

That's 'good', I complained, the Assessor has left (not because he wanted to), not around to answer questions about my assessment, his specialty is Occupational Health, so everything was from that angle. So I was awarded 2 points, hilarious.

    Good Luck to you to.

I wouldn't say it's either a good or a bad sign. It's rare they do this but it does happen. When applying for PIP there's no right or wrong language you should use. Glad to hear she was helpful!

Hi Poppy, I'm not taking it as good or bad, I am assuming it's to do with inconsitences in report and conflicting information. I was more wanting to emphasise on the person at DWP being very calming and reassuring, as I don't think we hear enough of that kind of thing... Or that may just be me haha.

I've been claiming benefits for many many years and have never come across any of the call centre staff or HCPs being anything but helpful and pleasant.

It's maybe my doom and gloom spin on things. The vast majority I have dealt with have been as you say nothing but helpful and pleasant.

The HCP I dealt with on the phone assessment sounded very pleasant on the phone but that is not the same as being pleasant.

I had a telephone assessment on Saturday 25.3.2023. I was told today that a decision has been made. To me that seems rather quick.

It has been known for a decision to made that quick. The quickest for me was just a couple of days after my assessment but this was back in 2016. (i think)
Were you successfully awarded or coudn't they see what that decision was yet? It takes up to 24 hours after the decision was made for them to be able to see it on the computer.

My latest update for everyone.  I had a consultation on Monday with Neurologist, explained my latest "loss of consciousness" episodes, along with how other conditions affect me and history of other episodes I've had starting since I was about 10 when I had my first Grand Mal seizure(had tests done as a child but parents were told I didn't have epilepsy)

The consultant after hearing this, done reflex tests and another test involving closing my eyes and holding my arms up (not sure what that was for) told me I have epilepsy, and that recommends medication straight away and referr for CT scan and ECG? I might have ecg mixed up with different kind of scan.

I am just awaiting having this I'm writing so can forward to Tribunal Services.
