Nervously awaiting decision.

Hi all, I'm new here but have been lurking and reading for a while.
I had my pip assessment about 2 weeks ago and every single day since has been torture! Simply because I have BPD and have been going mad with the wait and uncertainty.
I rang up this morning and was told the decision make is looking at it today and if I call back tomorrow they will let me know my decision.
I was wondering if I will get a text to say I'm refused as I would if I was accepted? Or is it safe to assume that if I don't hear back in the next 24 hours that I have not been accepted?
Any help and advice would be appreciated as I'm crawling the walla here trying to find distraction but nothing is helping!
Thanks

I have no idea how they know that a decision maker is looking at it today. A decision can take up to about 12 weeks once the report was returned to DWP.If it’s a first time claim and you’re successfully awarded then they have been known to send a text message. I’m not aware of them sending texts if there’s a refusal.0

Hi @poppy123456Thanks for your reply. Sorry I should have explained better. My impatient @ss rang them this morning looking for an update. The man I spoke to (Mohammed) said he can tell by looking at his computer that someone is opening up my case and doing things with/to it.He said that a decision should be made by tomorrow. It is a first time claim so I have no idea how it works to be honest I'm just going with what he said to me.0

When you ring PIP you're speaking to someone from a call centre, not someone from DWP. I just wouldn't want you thinking that a decision will be made by tomorrow, if it isn't made. I'll never understand why those call centre staff often predict when a decision will be made.

@ManchesterMatt hi I had my assessment on the 30th Jan still waiting for a decision like you I also have bpd/eupd so I know the struggle, when I called pip the other day and asked if there was any update I was told 3 weeks from assessment but I really do think it’s a case of how long is a piece of string 😂 hopefully you will hear from the really soon and it will be a good outcome0
