Hey @Sharon15. Welcome to Scope’s forum. It is great to see you have joined us. How are you at the moment?

It is positive to hear you are happy to be here. Are you looking for any advice, in particular? I just want to ensure we provide you with the support you are looking for.

It might help if you are able to share a little about your conditions if you feel comfortable with this  :)

    Hi @Sharon15!

Hope you are doing well :) this site is very helpful and the community is very kind. If you don’t mind me asking what your health conditions are? If you feel comfortable sharing of course :) I may be able to offer advice if I am familiar with any of them or they are conditions I suffer with myself. If not i’m sure there will be other people who will be able to advise you :)

It's lovely to meet you. I have had spinal problems for years. I won't say the trigger but since my incident I have suffered complete bladder function loss. Mobility and spinal issues. I have Fused vertebrae, Bulging discs also CCS on top of 20+ years of being catheterised with a Supra Pubic Catheter. I would love to know if I am redeemable and NOT wheelchair bound. So sorry for the mass overload. Please forgive my bluntness.

It’s lovely to meet you too :) I am sorry to hear that, it must be difficult for you. May I ask what CCS stands for? If you are comfortable with saying. I am sorry for my ignorance on this subject, I don’t know much about it but I am keen to help you if there is any way I can do so, even if it is just listening so you can get things off your chest. I am aware that may be a bit strange as we have only just met but if you would like to just let me know :) you don’t have to apologise, sometimes it helps to talk about our issues.

    Best wishes :)

I have Central Canal Stenosis of the spine or the other name is Spinal Canal Stenosis, amongst the other conditions. I just want to know how other people with these or similar conditions cope on a daily basis. Please :)

Of course :) the forums that may be of help/interest to you could be the Chronic Pain Management forum and the Physical/Neurological impairment forum and there is also an accessability forum that may be able to help with your questions about a wheelchair? If those do not sound helpful there are many more forums with helpful people under Catagories!

    Good luck :)

Hello @Sharon15, how are you doing today?

It's fab you found us and I know many of our other members also have spinal stenosis too. Do you have a good care team supporting you with your conditions?

    You said earlier:

And I wanted to gently offer some support, there's no need to apologise for being 'blunt' or venting, that's exactly what we're here for. Could you explain a little more about being redeemable, just so I know I'm understanding right?

I look forward to hearing from you again. Take care.
