after a break of about 2yrs - and they are still as delicious as ever!
I developed a serious crunchie addiction back in 2007 when i was pregnant. My poor daughter had a pre-natal diet of crunchies and milkš¤£
I had to have one every day and this continued for about 13 YEARS after she was born.
However, it all came to a very abrupt end when the price of a single crunchie went above 50p.Ā And i dont like the multi packs as the bars in there are tiny.
So - that was me cold turkey off the crunchies.
I did notice they were at 75p for one bar for a long time but never bought one at that price.
And then - last week, they went on offer for 60p. And i bought one. Sooooo yummy. I have had about 5 this past week. Still my very favourite confectionary bar.
What's yours?š

I must admit I do love a crunchy. I like the crunchy bites they do too but they're not quite as satisfying as a proper bar.Ā
My favourite is quite boring, a plain bar of dairy milk.Ā1 -
Crunches are OK. Saw a recipe for them not long back, look easy to make.1

I love crunchies, but I have to admit I have a bit of an addiction (probably all the sugar) to Fangtastics.
1 -
Ooh, fangtastics are those sugar-encrusted jellies, are they, @Cartini?Ā I have never had those but i absolutely love the gummy milk bottle sweets from sainsbury's or Aldi.
The tesco and asda ones are horridš¤¢
Other faves are Dime bars, minstrels and cadbury's choc eclairs - the toffees.
And i love, love, love chocolate with ginger in it. Unfortunately, that does tend to cost an absolute fortune as it's only posh brands that do it. So, a rare treat.
I am also on a bit of a Breakaway biscuit phase just now.Ā Yum yum!

All this talk about crunches are making my teeth tingle ha ha
you sound like my hubby, every week when we go food shopping he puts 3 or 4 packets of multi bars of chocolate in the trolly ha ha, he's into picnics and white chocolate chunky kitcats at the moment and he always has to have moaw (probably not the right nameĀ ) kids sweets in the car - i'm always nagging him about how much chocolate/sweet things he eats ha ha but he will just grin at me and say "i like them" don't know how he'd cope if there was a world shortage of chocolate bars ha ha x1 -
@SueHeath - Picnics oh yes i forgot about them! My 2nd fave after Crunchies.
I think you might mean Moams - i call them Mo - ams but i think it should be Mow (rhyming with now) ams.
The little fruit chews, joystix and all that?Ā They are very, very yummy indeed. I love frutella, skittles etc too.
In fact - let's face it- i just am addicted to sugar!!!0 -
Not sure i would like tangy @Cartiniš¤
My daughter likes sour sweets. Bleurgggh!!Ā I think she would like fangtasticsš0 -
I like milky bar chocolate been having a hankering for that recently.Ā
Most of the time I go for pick 'n' mix sweets Ā
Not to add to your Crunchie addiction @anisty but you can usually get a good price on them in Home Bargains.0 -

Fortunately, i don't often go in home bargains @Alex_Scope - but when i do i always get another of my old favourites - walnut whip!!
Which brings me to poundland - what has happened to the jameson's ruffle bars?!
The raspberry coconut choc covered bars seem to have gone.
I do love their version of the Toblerone. Twin Peaks.Ā I love toblerone but it's just sooooo expensive.

Hi everyone,
I am,at the moment, addicted to Bounty's, I just can't get enough of them.
At one stage there wasn't any in the shops, so my mam & friends kept looking for them when they were shopping ( they were Bounty hunters for a little why, lol.)
Can anyone remember Cabana bars? TheyĀ were just like Bounty's,but they also had cherries in.
I like any chocolate with either mint or coffee in .
I used to love the coffee walnut whips.2 -
Yes,curly wurlys are amazing, I remember when they used to be a lot bigger. I'veĀ never tried them frozen, sounds like a good idea.0
-
Oh i went through a bounty phase when i was 6 (that is 50 years ago lol) i had secret plans to raid the local shop for Bountiesš
Cabana! Oh yes i remember them well in the dark blue wrapper. Very scrummy!
The biscuit i most miss is Montego. The ginger ones.
Old sweets - cabana could do with a re launch. And Nutty bars.
There are so many good old sweets.
Toffos.Ā Ā0 -
Yes,there had been a lot of nice sweets over the years.
I used to like the sweets called spangles, I can't remember the flavours of them now.
Opal fruits ( I know they are starburst now (daft name, why did they have to change the name, marathon to snickers too!)& why did they have to change the flavours of the opal fruits when they changed to starburst, putting the blackcurrant one in & a lemon n lime one in?!0 -
I love Parma violets too, forgot to say.0
-
OMG were spangles not shaped like tunes cough sweets?
Remember dentyne cinnamon chewing gum, I loved that gum.
I like this thread bringing back happy childhood memoriesĀ0 -
