Hi, just had my assessment call, lasted 1hr 20mins. Crossing everything that it went ok but I'm not great at telling people how I'm really managing or rather not managing. My mental health is plunging due (I think) to the different diagnoses I've had over this last year. I've went from being a fairly active, healthy ish 50+ to having Long Covid, osteoarthritis, my epilepsy has made a comeback, I've been asthmatic since childhood and apparently I've had chronic longterm urticaria for many years (only officially diagnosed a couple of weeks ago) oh and not forgetting the b****y menopause. I honestly don't know if I'll even have the energy to appeal the decision if it doesn't go my way 🥴

Hi @karen11carson - & welcome to the community. I'm sorry to read about all the ill health you're going through, but well done on getting through your, I think, PIP assessment. It is daunting to get through & I think many feel the same as yourself in trying to describe the problems they're living with.
It can take anything from 2-12 weeks to get your decision letter, & please let us all know how you get on. Meanwhile I hope you enjoy being a member of the forum. :)

Hello @karen11carson and a warm welcome on what sounds like a difficult day for you, well done for getting through it  <3

It sounds like you're juggling a lot of plates there, is your GP aware of the impact on your mental health? I know it's easier said than done to get an appointment, but if you feel that your mood is having a significant impact on your daily life then do try to get seen.

I'm going to send you an email shortly, it's nothing to be concerned about but please keep an eye out and reply when you have time.

I look forward to speaking some more and in the meantime, feel free to take a look through our recent discussions and if you want to join in - go ahead!

    Best wishes.
