I can’t complain too much though as i put my claim in on the 11th Jan so it’s taken 2 monthsSame here, my Back Payment landed yesterday. It’s such an insanely quick turnaround.1

Son had his assessment has had a letter saying they have the information needed to make a decision so hopefully it will not take too many weeks, we started off applying at end of February 2023 his tel interview was horrendous 1 hour 30 minutes which he had to fit in while working, He has constantly swapped jobs over years to get to one where he can work mainly from home on phone and laptop or go speak to people in person, uses blue badge to get close to where he needs to be, even standing is painful! The assessor seemed to be attacking him cos he worked, but if he doesn't work he has no income as he would not get benefits, due to savings, as they have been saving to buy a more suitable home for disabilities although his bathroom now is opposite the bedroom so easier to manage for him in the bungalow. We are hoping for the best outcome as he is worsening daily! He has to carry a bottle in the car just in case and plan any journey to accommodate his bowel issues! due to IBS and a painful lump pressing on his insides! He has more bad health issues than is fair for one person! Why do assessors seem to be so aggressive cos you try to work despite so many issues! as he says, what should he do vegetate in bed all day every day! which is bad for mental health as well! at least working, he has some sense of pride, achievement and purpose in life!!0
