I have SPMS and was originally diagnosed with RRMS back in 2002.  This did not stop me from working full-time until 2016.  Im constantly keeping an eye out for work-from-home opportunities now (I was a buyer but have a great skill-set).  My interest lies in helping others and would dearly like to get into counselling. I'm a member of The MS Gym.  I love talking to people so please do feel free to get in touch.

Hi @Whirlygirl1 and welcome to Scope's online community :)

Thanks for introducing yourself, I've not heard of The MS Gym before, is it to do with multiple sclerosis?

If you'd like to have a look around the rest of the forum please do feel free, here's a few of the best places to get started:

    • Recent discussions is where you'll find all the latest conversations our members are having
    • The categories page shows all the different topics for discussion
    • The virtual coffee lounge is a place to chat, get to know other members, and play games too
Let us know if we can help with anything, and hope you're enjoying the weekend!

Hi, yes, sorry!  - the MS Gym was created by Trevor Wicken and is based in Colorado USA.  The programmes are all online and can be done not just by people like myself with MS but anyone with neurodegenerative or autoimmune conditions - please see the attached link - I can't begin to say how helpful its been for me.  I've had this since 2002 and this was just not available to us then. You can put in as much or as little effort as you are able to do.

Thanks for sharing @Whirlygirl1 I'm glad it's has such a positive impact for you :)

The online community of course is open to everyone connected by disability, but you might already know that Scope is a UK based charity, and a lot of the services we offer cover England and Wales.

I hope you enjoy spending time here, and please ask if you need anything.
